Christian Drye goes head-to-head w/ Tani' of Ink Bottoms Shoes

I had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to a fashion phenom by my great friend Angee. Not only is she very talented but her creations almost match the beauty she possesses as a woman. Not to be mistaken with anybody else, I am talking about New Jersey shoe boss, Tani' Waters-Anderson. She has been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off in preparation for the launch of her chic shoe line this August, I am pleased to be able to get this interview with her.

This is her passion and for the past three years she has worked toward it, persistence is key if you really want something. The moment we have all been waiting for is soon to be here, the highly anticipated shoes that will comfort the moods of women across the world.... eventually men alike. I want to go on record by saying Tani' is a breath of fresh air, she is VERY funny (and goofy- but in the greatest way possible). I am honored to have her on the site and I look forward to us working together in the future. She is the epitome of hard work and the reflection of excellence. Without further adieu, I give you Tani' Waters-Anderson.

Christian Drye: Introduce yourself and where you're located? Tani' Waters-Anderson: (She waves) My name is Tani', I'm located in New Jersey and I am the "New Jersey Shoe Boss." CD: Why shoes? What makes shoes stand out to you? TWA: I am a shoe-a-holic as everyone would call me! Every time I came across a trendy, sexy and a good quality shoe that catches my eye I always felt like I had to buy them. So, I finally sat down and said to myself, “I know how much women love shoes, why not start a trendy shoe line that’s fashionable, but affordable?” As a woman who does not make $100,000.00 a year and can’t afford a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes that’s all of the above: high quality, trendy, sexy, colorful but also, very expensive! I love to look stylish, fashionable and feel beautiful and wearing a gorgeous pair of shoes will definitely bring all of that out in a woman. Women's shoes stand out to me. It's the dominating confidence and "don’t mess with me attitude" which comes with wearing Stilettos or any kind of heel for that matter. My opinion is, women in any kind of heels are so attractive and it gives them the "sex factor" the way that many women wear heels to dress up, making themselves feel more attractive to the opposite sex. Let's be honest, most women that wear heels wear them to attract the opposite sex or to attract someone and if you wear a pair of "Ink Bottoms" it will definitely work in your favor. Ink Bottoms are custom made, whether they have a colored sole, Inked by a tattoo artist, gems, stones spikes and jewelry. Trust me when I tell you that Ink Bottoms Stilettos, Pumps, Wedges and Boots are definitely mind blowing! They're so mind blowing that it doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out that the sight of stilettos can have a dramatic effect on men's libido, but wearing them can also work a lot of wonders for a woman's sex life. High-heeled shoes not only tone the legs and strengthen the pelvic muscles, and lift your buttocks, but they 'directly work the pleasure muscles which are linked to an orgasm' as they say! I have one thing to say "Ink Bottoms Shoes By Tani'." Trust the "Shoe Boss Fashion Warrior" this info is a fact.

CD: What gives you the inspiration to design shoes at a time where fashion is so cliche? Everybody wants something to do with fashion. TWA: I live, eat and sleep fashion! I'm not into fashion, because it's "trendy" I'm into fashion because that's what I love, dream and live for. Fashion is an "art" I'm a artist and I express my feelings/emotions through fashion. Yes, everyone wants to get into fashion but you have to live it, dream it and be hungry for this world of fashion. I've been told before "who are you? No one would buy your shoes!", "It's not like you're a celebrity or something." What gives me strength and power is the words "you can't" , "you won't be able to" and "no." That's why I'm here today because of those words and my passion for fashion. CD: Demographically, who does the shoes cater to? TWA: Ink Bottoms caters to all ethnic groups, all races and all ages. CD: Can you see yourself designing mens shoes of any sort? TWA: Yes, I can. That's one of my goals in life, to have Ink Bottoms Shoes for men in the future as well as Ink Bottoms Juniors for kids. CD: How many different options or styles do you currently have? TWA: 20 altogether. CD: Who would you love to collaborate with? TWA: Jennifer Lopez! I love her shoe line and she's definitely an inspiration to women of minority that's in the fashion market today. I know this one may sound ridiculous, but Sean "P Diddy" Combs. He is such a wonderful and smart businessman who's "The Eye" for fashion. CD: How can the product be purchased? How can the world keep up with you and the brand as well? TWA: People can purchase their Ink Bottoms Shoes after the big launch of the line on my website as of August, 2014 on They can keep up with my brand by following me on Instagram or "like" the Facebook fan page.

(Social media will be avaialble at the end of the interview.)

CD: To have a platform that can touch a wide variety of women, what is something you want them to know? Why Ink Bottoms shoes opposed to some other brand? TWA: Ink Bottoms are custom made and made to order unlike other competitors. When customers see a pair of Ink Bottoms that they like, they are able to switch or change up any art or design on the shoe to the design and art that they wish. Essentially, that's what make Ink Bottoms so unique in this market of fashion today. Some of my shoes are made with real snake skin and cow leather mixed, which are extremely HOT- Ink Bottoms will always be unique and different. That's why I believe that Ink Bottoms will take this fashion market to a brand new level. CD: Any last words? TWA: To all my fashion warriors get up and follow your dream and don't let anyone discourage you. If you're passionate about becoming an entrepreneur and starting your own business, I say as a mom of three children (two with Autism) If I can do it you can. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, passion and a whole lot of faith! You can do anything that you put your mind to. Entrepreneurship is a tough challenge for me, then again I am a woman that has tough skin. I sacrifice a lot of my sleep because I'm not only starting my own business, however, right now I have a full-time job that's a 9-5. Not to mention I'm full time mother and I keep saying to myself "I know it's going to pay off at the end" because my days are extremely long and exhausting. Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice some of the people that I surround myself with, because unfortunately if you surround yourself with negativity then everything around you will crumble and that includes you and your business. Being an entrepreneur is like being on a roller coaster, because you will definitely have your ups and downs for sure. Some people think that I'm over confident or full of myself, but I'm not. I believe in my brand and I work extremely hard on my business, so my final words are "I go hard or go home" and I've decided to go hard, extremely hard!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I like to do a "funny" intraspective version of an interview that is informal, see more of Tani' below.

CD: Biggest pet peeves? TWA: When someone cracks their knuckles and when someone eats with their mouth open -YUCK! CD: Favorite mobile app? TWA: Family Fued (I know that's so corny). CD: Estimate how many text messages you compose in a week. TWA: probably 400. CD: Favorite thanksgiving dish? TWA: Seriously??? Ok, Collard Greens (She laughs). CD: If you could have chosen your birthday what day would you have picked? TWA: I would pick my original birthday, March 8th. I shut the whole world out that day and make it my special day. CD: Your ideal "go to" for relaxation? TWA: Las Vegas... I love to gamble. CD: If you were stranded on an island for one week, what are 3 things you must have? TWA: Swedish Fish candy, a tv so I can watch "The Haves And Have Nots" and my cell phone.
