When two or more gather together in my name…

It's no secret that Amir (aka ChimpMANSzee) is my roll dawg, I love my nephew. He is the first person to really teach me about love and how to really be intentional with relationships. I am so thankful to God for blessing me with him. This picture above is from his 4th birthday party this year. Lord willing, we will get to recreate this photo one day with a real Corvette Stingray and a pair of custom pants each, by myself.

Let's get some context about my title .... I always hear people quote, "when two or more gather in my name I'll be in the midst" In reference to dwelling with God himself.

Let's get this clear, just because two or more people are close by each other, that doesn't mean God is in the midst. That scripture, Matthew 18:20, was in reference to resolving issues inside the church amongst believers. If you have fought with someone in church, Matthew 18:15, go to them in private and work it out. If that doesn't work, Matthew 18:16, take two or three people with you to witness exactly what was confirmed, while you're working out the differences between the other party involved. I didn't grow up quoting scriptures or even being confident about going to church, All of this is new to me. I'm learning that the scriptures have to be used in proper context or else, the Bible can be manipulated and used for personal gain. As I learn, I'll try my best to share the information - hopefully we can all grow is Christ together, in that regard.
